SeeWoo wins Best sustainable ‘green’ business

The second Small Business Saturday Awards, which celebrate small businesses in the borough, saw over 60 local businesses step forward to showcase what makes them stand out from the crowd.

Entries were judged by a panel including Cllr Shama Tatler, Andrew Dakers, Chief Executive of West London Business, Michael Lassman, Chair of the London branch of the Federation of Small Business and Rosalyn Flowers, Senior Economic Growth Manager at Brent Council.

SeeWoo won Best sustainable ‘green’ business for their pioneering work to reduce food waste in their market space. Their are the first Oriental food supplier to tackle food waste by starting a Waste Not Want Not (#wastenotwantnot) campaign at the beginning of 2018. They make monthly donations of short dated food products to a charity called Refugee Community Kitchen and these go towards providing 300-400 meals for people in need in and around London.
